| I am a Platinum Member of Delta airlines and have been an elite mbmeer for years. I have flown millions of miles over the past 22 years. I have proven time and time again that I am no longer a threat at the airport but every time I fly I do the dog and pony show at security.This past Friday I flew to Montgomery, Alabama via Memphis. At LAX I noticed new body scanners at the Delta gates. I was asked to go through. I was stopped and detained for a pat down. The reason given to the TSA agent who gave me my body massage less the happy ending was that I was an ANOMALY It could have been my a metal body part they viewed during the body scan but it was never explained to me why I was being held for extra screening. I was given the most ridiculous body pat down that anyone could imagine. I felt like I was part of a cheap boardwalk performance as passengers filed past watching me get the pat down from a TSA agent who obviously had no idea what he was doing or looking for. The best part was the second agent who stood watch like it was a private booth in a Times Square peep show. |
